New Decade, New Look—A Change Is Gonna Come

Hello everyone, how are you guys? How is 2020 treating you so far?

Can you believe we are into March already? I am definitely enjoying the upper 70’s weather mother nature has been bringing to Sonoma but I can also say we are hoping for some rain soon, it’s so dry. Wherever you are in the world, I am sending you all love, light and good health vibes as we know the Coronavirus news can feel a bit daunting. My advice would be to prepare the best you can for you and your family and seek reputable resources for advice but don’t slip down the rabbit hole watching too much sensationalized news. Take some time to be outside in nature and notice the gentle whispers of spring blooming all around. Creating some fun ‘stay at home’ projects can be wonderful for a time like this, where being in any crowded public places isn’t the most reassuring. I’m not taking this lightly but I’m also not one to panic. We got this– wash those hands again and again. I assure you any type of mindful practices you do right now will also serve you well.

In other news– I know I keep saying this, but I ‘THANK YOU’ truly for hanging in there with me as my love for writing blogs is well intended but quite sporadic. If you could only see my drafts folder, filled with story ideas and things I’m eager to share. Hopefully you follow me on Instagram and or twitter, so perhaps you see I travel a ton and although it’s one of my favorite things in life, I’ve found it to be what challenges me most with writing consistently. I’m not complaining, just acknowledging and embracing. I’m continuously finding my rhythm as the dance of life carries on.

This month I’m making great progress working with my favorite marketing brand MMK to launch a new website with an updated look and feel, I know we’ll all enjoy! I’ve been craving making tons of changes with my blog and there’s nothing like the start of a new decade to light a little fire under that desire. Get ready, “A change is gonna come”, in my best Sam Cooke singing voice.

We’ve had a wonderful five years of Inspirational Addict, haven’t we? When I launched the site in 2015 these two words really spoke to me. This was a pivotal year for me as I had been diligently committed to self-care in the few years prior and that work was reveling more joy, happiness, healthier choices and a deep connection to loving myself again. That work wasn’t going to stop or slow down and I gained a passion for wanting to write about things that inspired me, hoping to inspire you. These are literally good habits I embody now since I’ve been practicing for years, together with you so they naturally will live on. I’m seriously passionate about so many things. I feel my heart get all jazzy inside and want to beam stories, experiences and any wisdom I’ve gathered out to everyone I know hoping they may speak to you in some beneficial way or make your heart flutter a little too. While my curiosity runs wild and keeps me motivated to learn more and lean deeper into what makes me feel alive I am refining my writing for myself and all of you. We have to listen to those things because they are what drive us to be shiny-happy people, right? My hope is that we; you and I, will connect deeper as well.

It’s just the beginning of a new decade and smile really big if your life has changed for the better in the past five years? Can you feel my smile? This Inspirational Addict community has been a remarkable place for me to always be healing, growing, laughing and accepting… I really hope the same for you. Thank you to all my supporters and readers, new and old.  I thrive off community and being able to pay things forward that support all of us living more mindfully each day we get to wake up and breathe again.

So this is my teaser gang– you’ll see the new website sooner than later. If you notice the site go down for a few days, know that it’s coming back soon, polished and improved! Thank you again for being here, I’m so grateful that you are. Always feel free to reach out with any questions or comments, I love hearing from you guys.

xoxo Andrea
